As of April 26, Ukrainian agrarians planted early spring grains throughout the areas of 2.378 mln ha, or 99% of the plan, an increase of 300 thsd ha compared with the same date last year, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, agrarians planted spring barley throughout the areas of 1.781 mln ha (98%), peas – 224 thsd ha (101%), spring wheat – 163 thsd ha (99%), and oats – 209 thsd ha (99%). Also, Ukraine planted sunflower seed throughout 2.858 mln ha (55%), soybeans – 502 thsd ha (25%), and corn for grain – 2.24 mln ha (49%). (apk-inform.com)
